Residential Duct Cleaning
Preserve and protect the duct work in your home. You’ll improve air quality, and save energy.
In a typical six-room home, up to 40 pounds of dust is created annually through everyday living. Your heating and cooling system is the lungs of your home. When your HVAC system is clean, it doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain the temperature you want and increases the amount of fresh clean air you breathe.
Powerfully Equipped to Do the Job
Now that you understand the benefits of keeping your ducts clean, you want to make sure it is done right. Our truck mounted vacuum units deliver 15,000 to 25,000 cubic feet per minute of suction to create negative pressure in your ducts. An eight-inch vacuum hose is used to apply suction to isolated zones.
Compressed air in combination with the scorpion whip package or power ball delivers up to 250 pounds per square inch of compressed air to the interior of the duct work. Dust and debris is removed from the duct system, zone by zone, until the entire system is thoroughly cleaned. Our staff make sure every job is done thoroughly and correctly.
Duct sealing, balancing, and insulation efforts can also work to protect and preserve your home’s duct work, while saving energy.
Leaks in the duct work for heating and cooling systems can be costly. Duct work often leaks through seams at the joints between the duct work components, or through other connections such as elbows. Sealing the duct work prevents the warm or cool air from leaking, allowing more of the treated air to reach each room. Duct Sealing is a cost effective way to improve a heating and cooling system’s efficiency.
Duct balancing helps ensure proper air flow to each room in the house. Closed, partially opened, and fully opened dampers control the air flow to each vent. Balancing these internal mechanisms will balance the airflow throughout a home for consistent temperature.
Removing attic insulation is the first step in our integrated attic-cleaning solution. If your attic has old or dirty insulation, it may need to be replaced. Old attic insulation is often inefficient and could lead to unnecessarily high energy bills. Dirty attic insulation, on the other hand, could have been the result of pests like rodents and birds that contaminated the insulation, which can lead to an unhealthy home. If either of these situations are the case, it’s time to remove insulation from attic spaces to maximize the safety and energy-efficiency of your house.
