High-Rise buildings offer a unique challenge - access. Our heavy duty trucks cannot access the higher levels, so we have powerful self-contained portable vacuums. The two-module system can easily be taken up or down stairs, fully assembled or quickly detached and hand carried by one person. These efficient portable systems remove all debris from the HVAC system and filter it through a Hepa Filter to ensure no contaminates are released into the air. The portable vacuum system has a large self-contained hopper to collect the debris. Our portable systems have a three-stage filtration with 99.97% HEPA final filter and exceptional vacuum power produced by our high-performance, backward-curved AT Gold blowers and high-efficiency motors.
Duct Cleaning
Power Vac of Ottawa has the knowledge, experience and the technology to clean all types of commercial buildings. Not sure if your HVAC system needs to be cleaned? Power Vac of Ottawa has a number of tools to inspect your ducts to ensure an informed decision is made about whether or not to have your ducts cleaned. For smaller buildings, we have scope cameras which can be inserted into the ducts to see what, if any, debris is building up. For larger buildings we have the Wolverine Robot which not only inspects the ducts but can video tape deep inside the system to see how much debris is present.

Our truck-mounted equipment is modern and powerful. Our Truck mounted vacuum systems deliver up to 25,000 cubic feet per minute of suction to create negative pressure in your ducts. An eight-inch vacuum hose is used to apply suction to isolated zones. Compressed air in combination with the scorpion whip package or power ball delivers up to 250 pounds per square inch of compressed air to the interior of the ductwork. Dust and debris is removed from the duct system, zone by zone, until the entire system is thoroughly cleaned.
Once an HVAC system has been inspected, and the decision to clean the ducts has been made, the second step is to put the Wolverine Robot into action. The robot in combination with our portable HVAC Vacuums can clean the entire ducting system, efficiently and completely. This is evident with the video cameras rolling which allow the operators to view the entire duct system to ensure any and all contaminants are removed. The robot has many attachments such as the rotary brushes which will dislodge any debris and blow it towards the vacuum where it is removed through a hepa filter and deposited in a self contained dust hopper.
Our Wolverine Robotic system enables us to provide a number of services to large commercial buildings such as office buildings, schools, hospitals, retirement homes and government buildings.
The first step is the HVAC inspection. The Wolverine Robot can scan up to 100 feet from the point of entry for on-site inspection of the ducting system. We can also video tape the interior of the ducts for later viewing and analysis of the HVAC system. This allows owners and managers to make an informed decision about getting the HVAC system cleaned.
Once the HVAC system has been thoroughly cleaned, the access doors and panels are sealed in accordance the NADCA s guidelines to ensure the system is air tight.
